FormationFinder Knowledge Base Demo

IHS and partner EnerGeo Technologies have come together to release the new FormationFinder module Knowledge Base.

This module gives customers access to the most comprehensive digital encyclopedia of geological reference materials available for the Western Canadian Basin. FormationFinder Knowledge Base helps you find formation-specific data with the click of a button. Geologists and non-Geologists will benefit by having immediate access to inclusive geological reference materials to help them understand the principles of rock formations in the WCB. This exclusive data package is available only through AccuMap.

With FormationFinder Knowledge Base you can:

  • Easily access multiple geological reference materials
  • Work with interactive digital stratigraphic charts
  • View digitized Paleographic, Facies and Tectonic Maps
  • Directly access formation specific Geological Atlas Figures
  • Easily access an integrated version of the Geological Lexicon for Canadian Stratigraphy
  • View type wells referenced from the Lexicon in AccuLogs
